Entire. Trip. Made.
It’s been a goal to walk the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Yesterday it was closed to traffic and I got to do it in peace and silence. This trip has forever changed me. Tracing the steps of those that fought unapologetically so that I can be has been more than an honor.
Over the past week, I have also met activists who participated during the Civil Rights Movement. Hearing first hand accounts of events that altered the course of our country was a priceless experience.
